James IV

1 February 2020

I am very pleased to announce that I have been commissioned to write a biography of James IV of Scotland –  a soldier, scientist, poet, amateur dentist, lover, patron of the arts, scholar, polyglot and hero whose deadly rivalry with his brother-in-law Henry VIII would ultimately result in a national tragedy when he and much of his nobility were slaughtered at the battle of Flodden in 1513.

My book about Queen Victoria’s relationship with her daughter Princess Alice and granddaughter Empress Alexandra Feodorovna of Russia is due to be published on 30th June and is available to preorder from Amazon, Waterstones & all friendly local bookshops.
